Services Available
Dataplex offers a complete repair package to
the data communications user, providing cost effective & innovative
solutions.
On Site service (certain areas only)
Offers on-site service of customer equipment and repair through
replacement of whole unit, sub-assembly or parts. On-site repair
service would typically apply to large and critical installations.
Advance notice preferred.
Rapid Exchange
Offering fast turn-around time from an Authorized Dataplex Service
Center, this service provides a Whole/part Unit Exchange Service
during the time taken to repair the client's unit. This is on most
units – call to confirm availability.
After Hours call-outs- Prior arrangement
required
Offers on-site service/repair of customer equipment outside normal
office hours. On payment of the appropriate rate, the customer will
have access to the services of an engineer, if required, during
the agreed hours. If in response to the customer's service request,
it is necessary for the engineer to visit the client's site, the
appropriate Call-Out charge will also apply.
Fixed Price Repair
Defective whole-unit equipment is returned for repair to an Authorized
Dataplex Repair Center and a fixed repair price is charged. This
option would be offered on Out of Warranty equipment at the time
of logging the repair with the Service Center. The Fixed Price service
only applies to locally repairable products and cannot be offered
if the Printed Circuit Board(s), as the equipment maybe irreparably
damaged. Fixed Price Repair is a non-contract service. Extremely
difficult repairs may be subject to an increased fee, or be made
‘not viable’ for repair. Rodent infested units will
not be repaired due to health issues and the nature of the damage
caused.
Priorities Repair Service
On returning failed equipment for repair to an Authorized Dataplex
Repair Center, customers are advise a of the repair turnaround time.
However, if a customer's unit is used in a critical application,
Dataplex may (call to confirm) provide a Priority Repair Service
of 24 or 48 hours repair turnaround time, or if a customer requires
on-site service. A surcharge is payable for the priority service
in addition to the normal service charges applicable.Dataplex will
always strive to offer a quick turn around time, however, cannot
guarantee, especially for discontinued models.
Hours of Service
Hours of cover for all services are from 9am
to 5pm Monday to Friday public holidays excepted. For coverage outside
