Advanced Digital Signal Processing and adaptive equalisation ensures that any AccessPoint-Modem delivers accurate data over the widest range of phone lines.

On-line Rate Renegotiation
Line quality monitoring allows AccessPoint-Modems to achieve the highest throughput on poor lines. AccessPoint-Modems will change up and down in speeds while on-line in V.34 or V.FC.

High Throughput
Selective block retransmission, V.42bis and MNP 5 ensure the highest possible throughput and economy for all users on all lines. AccessPoint-Modems are ideal for high volume traffic on expensive long distance lines or any application where fast, low cost error free data transfer is required.

Extensive Diagnostics
Diagnostics include LEDs for on line activity display, a speaker for call progress monitoring, local and remote loopbacks controlled from the front panel switch, AT commands or V.54 signals, plus in-built test pattern generation and checking. Further diagnostic capability is achieved via AccessPoint-Manager.

Protect Your System
Standard security features include pass word verification and same/different line callback. Once configured, AccessPoint-Modems cannot be maliciously or inadvertently reconfigured by any interface or line commands. Top security can be achieved with the optional security module, AccessPoint-Security an advanced database system that offers keycard based access, DES token challenge/response and DES based encryption.

Network Management Option
Centralised management (SNMP, Ethernet and RS-232) of all dial-in/ dial-out access is made possible via the optional management software. AccessPoint-Manager automates the process of modem configuration, on-line surveillance and statistics collection. The Network Manager can pin-point terminal, modem and circuit failures immediately; observe call activity; log all network events; display log configuration status and a host of other features that make management of a nest of modems flexible and powerful.
