AM-7000 [Specifications
& Ordering Information]
High Density Flexible Access Multiplexer
The AM7000 is a flexible SDH/PDH (Synchronous
Digital Hierarchy/Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy) multiplexer.
The modularity & adaptability, plus a wide and developing range
of traffic units, means the AM7000 Multiplexer can be deployed for
a wide range of applications. The AM7000 Multiplexer is a shelf-based
system consisting of plug-in cards that perform the grooming and
multiplexing necessary for an access network.
The AM7000 Multiplexer has been design
to be used in a number of applications. It is designed to provide
services from a simple PDH Multiplexer (E1 trunk to DSL line cards)
up through full SDH mapping at the STM-4 level with equipment protection.
