Description]
Overview
The AM7000 broadband flexible access node is designed to evolve
with your network in a wide variety of applications. AM7000 can
start out as a powerful non-blocking digital cross connect (down
to DS0 granularity) or a high density G.SHDSL symmetrical broadband
multiplexer, and grow to a fully flexible multi-service access node
combining ATM, IP and TDM architectures. It will support multiple
services provision based on SDH, leased line, fibre, voice and Frame
Relay in next generation networks. It provides cost-effective, high
quality data and voice communications solution that will grow with
your network.
This system is flexible enough to fit into
any network operator's existing network to provide customers with
immediate access to broadband services with the need to invest in
new cables and infrastructure equipment, while maintaining the capability
to grow and comfortably adapt to new network architectures for future
services.
The AM7000 provides broadband data services
to bandwidth hungry businesses and residential customers over existing
network infrastructures. It can be used alone or in conjunction
with an existing mixed vendor network. Transmission at speeds of
up to 2.3Mbps between the exchange and customers premises can be
provided over standard twisted pair cables. It is particularly suited
to the concentration and grooming of large numbers of xDSL circuits
onto E1 trunk connections to make the most efficient use of network
backbone bandwidth.
The system brings substantial benefits to the
user including symmetrical data transfer over standards based G.SHDSL
(perfect for SoHo or SME applications), full ANFP compliance, increased
service provision (up to three customer ports per CPE modem), long
range (providing increased coverage to more subscribers in an exchange
area). The system is fully SNMP manageable, with configuration,
fault and performance management capabilities.
